Perhentian Island

The beauty of the taxis in Perhentian!

My favorite... coconuts!

The view from where we have all of our meals!

Kota Bahru

Kota Bahru was our night stop before going to the Perhentian Islands.
All of the pictures are from just walking around and I love all of the old buildings. The last one is of a lady in the market. That was my favorite discovery. Inside of this huge market- in the middle- all of the ladies are selling fruits and vegetables.

Ulu Perak- Malaysia Week with the kids

Here we have made it to our camp site and we are leaving a natural mark that we have been here using rocks, shells, twigs, sand etc.

This is one of our campsites. Get ready to raft!

Love this picture as it shows the river early in the morning.

Yes, I am on the back- right. I look under control, don't you think :)

Langkawi and the Canopy

Last trip to Langkawi, Malaysia. It is a little island that is easy to get to from KL. 45 minute flight and you are there! View from Frangipani Hotel!

Playing with my camera again. Love swapping colors.

For Krista, so that she can paint more palm trees. How about palm trees around the world?

This is from the canopy walk in the rainforest. We went with the 7th grade class and it was cool walking across the suspended bridges!

Cont... of Cambodia

More pictures of Siem Reap and the ruins at Angkor Wat.
Yes, I played with the color in the background. Didn't know that feature existed!

Found this piece that had fallen and it became one of my favorite pictures!

Angkor Wat!!!

One of the many faces of the ruins!

Typical picture of what many people can balance on their bikes! Love coconuts!

Cambodia- Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Angkor Wat

These are all picture from different ruins in Siem Reap and from the palace in Phnom Penh!

Lankayan Island

After the jungle.... we headed to a small island off of Sandakan, Malaysia called Lankayan Island. One can walk around the island in 15 minutes. It is primarily dive resort, but I enjoyed snorkeling, reading, eating, sleeping and taking in the sun! I saw a turtle, eel, stingray, many fish (wrasse, urchins, sea cucumbers, nemos, small sharks, a black and white polkadot fish, wrasse fish, leapord fish and many more...)
The picture shows what I did at the end of each day watching the sunset!

My favorite picture of this unique tree that has pineapple looking fruit, but I found out that one "can not" eat the fruit!

This is the jetty landing that will lead one to the island and resort!

When feeling stressed... I will just picture myself with this hat on the beach!
