Mt. Batur- Sunrise HikeIt started off with a 2 am departure to make it to the trailhead. We hiked up for 1 1/2 hours and waited for the sun to rise over the lake and see the nearby volcanoes. On the way down, there was a temple where the local people were going to leave their offerings to the god in honor of the full moon. I will never forget this day and the feeling of hiking down and feeling like I was honoring the gods myself!
